We plan to create a bold new vision for Headcorn, which will see brand new sports and community facilities created alongside much needed, high-quality new homes. The plans include:
New sports pitches and community facilities to benefit the local community
Around 260 energy-efficient homes with a range for every stage of life
Extensive green infrastructure covering over two thirds of the site which includes open green spaces, meadows and orchards
Play areas for outdoor recreation
New walking routes to improve connections to the village and surrounding countryside

The site is located on the north-eastern edge of Headcorn. It lies just off Lenham Road, close to existing homes, and within easy walking distance of the village centre.
Yes – 40% of the new homes will be provided as affordable housing, with a mix of for sale and rent, helping to meet local demand and give more people the opportunity to stay in Headcorn.
The proposals include over 15 acres of land for sports and community uses, including brand new mixed-sized sports pitches and changing room facilities helping meet local demand, as well as additional spaces for community and sports uses.
Access will be provided by two new priority-controlled T-junctions on Lenham Road. We are currently undertaking a comprehensive transport assessment which will be submitted as part of our planning application.
